Title : VisionAir
Period : 2012.01 - 2014.07 Position :
Collaborator

The VisionAir project calls for the creation of a European infrastructure for
high level visualisation facilities that are open to research communities across
Europe and around the world. Using this new type of infrastructure,
state-of-the-art research in visualisation can be conducted, thus significantly
enhancing the attractiveness and visibility of the European Research Area (ERA).
The project contains a wide range of activities, one of them being related to
the simulation of assembly operations in real time. To this end, an immersive
simulation module that integrates two haptic devices and mobility information is
now in a development process.
Title : MiDAS
Period : 2012.07 - 2013.12 Position :
Coordinator

The main objective of the MiDAS project was the development of a new technical
solution for an automated grinding-polishing fiber panels machine for the
furniture industry. The designed equipment - Esevos, represents an
original and accessible solution, made in Romania, for automating the processes
of grinding and polishing painted panels. In order to increase productivity and
to cover a wide range of applications, depending on the complexity desired by
the customer, optional, can be added a set of auxiliary elements.
Title : MoPAD
Period : 2010.08 - 2013.08 Position :
Researcher

The primary outcome of the MoPAD project is a simulation platform of the
assembly and disassembly process called ViPAD – Virtual Platform for Assembly
Disassembly. It represents an intelligent tool which provides industrial
engineers the possibility to perform fast and complete analyses of assemblies,
leading to the sharp decrease of the development time of mechanical systems. The
proposed application offers a set of functions which currently does not exist in
the assembly modules of the standard computer-aided design software.
